watch in snowy conditions and mountainous backdrop

Tools of the modern age which
afford false comfort to digitally display
the distance our feet or the long planks attached thereupon
have traveled for leisure,
merely prove the old adage of ignorance that yields pleasure.

Ignorance is the embrace of the Calibre 3230,
ticking away safely secured,
in that 300M water-resistant fortress ready to much endure.

Through the perils of snow, sweat, and clumsy,
continues beating this storied sports watch so estimable,
and at last when out of those ski boots accursed,
does it yet blissfully beat on, in that ignorance so impenetrable.
